Laura L. McLeman | CA, PARTNER
Laura joined W.L. Dueck & Co in 2009. Prior to joining W.L.Dueck & Co, Laura was a partner with Kennedy McLeman Kroeker Chartered Accountants, a Calgary firm that she co-founded in 2002. Laura's career commenced in 1996 focusing on US and Canadian tax.
While practicing in Calgary, Laura was an active member of the Entrepreneurial CA Association and co-presented a seminar on US and Canadian tax issues at the Small Practitioner's Forum in Banff, Alberta in 2008. Laura was honoured to be presented with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta Early Achievement Award recognizing her personal achievements and commitment to involvement in the community.
Laura's practice focuses on Canadian and US tax for individuals. The practice includes several assignment tax programs for employers with employees working on cross border assignments. Laura also counsels new and departing Canadians on the tax implications of their relocation.
With two children, Laura and her husband find themselves busy with the everyday demands of a busy family. Laura spends her time volunteering with Girl Guides of Canada as a Guider and, along with her neighbours, building a healthy, involved community for their children to grow and play in.
